The report card

Five grades on the advertising you already pay for.

The card is a short, scored review of your paid ads, search visibility, website, measurement and follow up. Every grade comes with the evidence behind it and the one fix that moves it.

Free, one working day, and no change to your accounts.

Advertising report card Sample
Paid ads B Winning on brand terms, spending without a plan everywhere else.
Search visibility C Thin content, so the pages do not earn the keywords they target.
Website C Slow on a phone, and the offer is buried below three screens.
Measurement F Enquiries arrive with no source attached, so nothing can be credited.
Follow up D Leads sit untouched for days, and nobody gets a second contact.
A sample card, to show how the grades and the reasons are laid out. Yours is built from your own numbers.

Inside the card

What each grade is built from.

Paid ads

Where the budget lands, what it returns, and which spend is doing nothing at all.

  • Campaigns, keywords and the search terms you actually paid for
  • Cost per enquiry against your close rate
  • Wasted spend, named line by line

Search visibility

Whether the pages you point ads at can win work on their own, without paying per click.

  • Which pages earn traffic and which earn nothing
  • Whether search engines and AI assistants can read and quote you
  • The gap between the phrases you target and the ones you rank for

Website

How the site behaves for a real visitor on a real phone, measured and not opinionated.

  • Load time, page weight and what is slowing it
  • Whether the offer and the action are obvious in one screen
  • Where visitors leave

Measurement

Whether you can prove where a paying client came from, end to end.

  • Tracking installed, firing and deduplicated
  • Enquiries joined to the source that produced them
  • The gap between platform numbers and your own books

Follow up

What happens in the minutes and days after an enquiry lands.

  • Speed to first reply, and who owns the lead
  • Whether second and third contact actually happens
  • Booked rate against enquiries by source

How it works

Same checklist every time, so the grades mean something.

How a grade is worked out

Each area is scored against the same checklist we use on a paid engagement, then banded from A to F.

  • Paid ads: account structure, wasted spend, cost per enquiry, and whether the bid strategy matches the goal
  • Search visibility: indexation, page intent, internal links, and the queries the pages actually win
  • Website: measured load time on a phone, the first screen, form behaviour and the friction before the action
  • Measurement: what fires, what double counts, and whether a source can be attached to a closed client
  • Follow up: time to first reply, attempts made, and the booked rate by source

What you get back

  • The card itself, one page, five grades, in plain language
  • The evidence under each grade, quoted from your own account or site
  • A fix list in the order we would work it, with the expected effect of each
  • A thirty minute walkthrough, recorded if you want it
  • The card is yours to keep, share with your team, or hand to another agency

Who the card is for

Businesses spending enough on advertising that a twenty percent improvement is worth real money, and owners who cannot tell whether their agency, their in house team or their own effort is working.

We build cards most often for moving companies, medical and therapy practices, media and production businesses, retail, and multi location corporate teams. The checklist is the same across all of them; what changes is what counts as a good number.

What the card is not

It is not a forty page audit. It is not a pitch deck. It is not a promise of results, and it does not replace your accountant's view of what a client is worth. It is a scored second opinion on the advertising you are already paying for.

What we need from you

  • Your web address
  • The best number and email to reach you
  • Optional: a read only link to the ad account
  • Optional: your monthly ad spend, so we can size the opportunity honestly

That is the whole list. No logins, no contracts, no access to your books.

Questions

What people ask before the first card.

How long does it take?

One working day once we have your web address, and a read only link if you choose to share one.

What do the grades mean?

A is work we would not change, F is an area that is not working at all. The reason under each letter matters more than the letter.

Will you tell me if my agency is doing a good job?

Yes, plainly. The card grades the account, not the relationship.

Do you need logins?

No. A read only link, revoked whenever you like, is enough.

Is there a cost later?

None for the card. Work is quoted separately against the fix list.
